Malas

A mala is a strand of beads traditionally used to support meditation, prayer, breathwork, and intention-setting. Many malas contain 108 beads, allowing you to move from one bead to the next while repeating a mantra, affirmation, or meaningful intention.

Malas can also be worn as intentional jewelry—a personal reminder of the qualities you want to strengthen in your life. Each gemstone has traditional symbolic and energetic associations. Some stones are associated with grounding and protection, while others represent self-love, confidence, clarity, abundance, communication, or spiritual awareness.

Choosing a Mala by Intention

Begin by considering what you would like to welcome, strengthen, or transform. You might explore:

  • Love and emotional healing: Rose quartz, rhodonite, or green jade
  • Confidence and personal strength: Tiger’s eye, black onyx, or labradorite
  • Clarity and communication: Lapis lazuli, aquamarine, amazonite, or apatite
  • Grounding and vitality: Red jasper, mookaite, fire agate, or carnelian
  • Abundance and manifestation: Citrine, jade, or a prosperity mala
  • Intuition and spiritual awareness: Amethyst, moonstone, or opalite

You may also simply notice which mala catches your attention. Color, texture, gemstone meaning, and intuition can all guide your choice. The most meaningful mala is the one that feels personally aligned with your intention.
